Onam 2025 Celebration Highlights MHMC brought the spirit of Onam alive once again with an unforgettable day of tradition, joy, and unity.
The event, held on September 6th, 2025, witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 300 community members, all dressed in traditional Kerala attire. The Pookkalam (floral carpet) competition kicked off the day, with vibrant designs symbolizing prosperity and harmony.
Cultural Performances The stage lit up with performances ranging from Thiruvathira, classical dance, to contemporary group acts by talented MHMC youth and children. The audience was treated to a nostalgic journey of Kerala's rich cultural legacy.
Traditional Sadya One of the biggest highlights of the day was the grand Onam Sadya, featuring over 20 traditional vegetarian dishes served on banana leaves. Volunteers worked tirelessly to ensure every detail of the feast felt just like home.
Games & Community Spirit From Vadamvali (tug-of-war) to Uriyadi, the Onam games brought out cheer, laughter, and a strong sense of togetherness.
